Avete bisogno di scarpe sportive con un buon profilo, zainetto, acqua e protezione solare. Prenotazioni entro le ore 18 del giorno prima dell’escursione. 15€ p.P. (7€ unter 14 years) min. 6 people. All hikes take 3-4 hours. Departure times depend on the weather but generally we leave 8-9 am and come back for lunch. You need sport shoes with a good profile, a small backpack, water and sun protection. Booking closes at 6pm on the day before the excursion. Upon request we can organize the hikes in other languages and on different days.
The trekking starts at Piazza della Repubblica and enters the Canyon San Leonardo. Through an ancient mule track called “Scala delle Rose” we reach a higher elevation. After leaving the path, we enter Canyon San Crispino, where there are small tombs carved into the limestone. Once we complete the last climb of the route, we will reach the viewpoint over Cava Misericordia. After leaving this last canyon behind, we will cross a short stretch of countryside that will take us along the northern side of Cava San Leonardo, from where we see one of the most beautiful perspectives of the city of Ragusa. From here, the descent begins, passing through a field dotted with carobs and centuries-old olive trees. We will reconnect with “Scala delle Rose”, and retracing our steps, we will follow the same path back to Piazza della Repubblica.
